Our first venture into the world of cycle touring in July 2010. This was Before Tandem so we took two solo bikes and a trailer.
We left the car in Oban to take the ferry to Mull, crossed to Ardnamurchan from Tobermory, rode up to Mallaig, crossed to Skye, left Skye at Uig with a ferry to Harris, rode the Golden Road to Leverburgh, ferry to Berneray then worked our way down North Uist, Benbecula, South Uist and finally onto the lovely island of Barra. The return to Oban was made by Ferry from South Uist.
