With the purchase of a 1980s Dawes Super Galaxy Tandem we were ready to take on a longer trip in 2011. We had been told that Norway was like Scotland multiplied by 10 so, having enjoyed the Outer Hebrides so much the year before, decided to find out what all the fuss was about in the fjords.
We flew into Trondheim and took an overnight train to Bodø where we crossed by ferry to Lofoten. After 4 days in the land of the midnight sun we returned to Bodø and another overnight train took us back to Trondheim. From here we rode through spectacular scenery taking in Trollstigen, Geirangerfjord, Sognefjord, Hardangerfjord, Røldalsfjellet, Lysefjord and eventually finished with a stay with friends in Sandnes. We reluctantly flew home from Stavanger.
